§  4/26/2010 Cass Moore suffered a heart attack while playing tennis on April 21, 2010 in Fredericksburg, TX. Due to the quick thinking of others on the court, CPR was administered and Cass survived the heart attack. Cass, as of 4/25/10, is at the Texsan Heart Hospital in San Antonio room 226. Thanks to Pat Adkins and Chris Wood for the heads-up.

 

§  4/29/2010 Cass is now at home in Fredericksburg and is recuperating. Get Well Soon!! Thanks to Gloria Lochridge Malone and Kathy Maahs Roberts for the follow-up.

 

§  4/26/2010 Vicki Britt Smith is suffering from severe heart problems and is currently in assisted living. Vicki is a SOC 69’ alumnus and has worked tirelessly to help organize previous class reunions. Also, her niece is Macklyn Parker Smith, Carter 68’. Macklyn attended Storey and SOC before transferring to Carter. I don’t’ have a lot of info on Vicki’s current condition but if someone has more information please contact me at webmaster@socalumni.org . I’ll be happy to try to get the word out. Thanks to Pat Adkins for the alert about Vicki.

 

§  4/29/2010 Macklyn advised us that Vicki is currently in Room 604 at UT Southwest medical Center in Dallas, Sometime next week she is supposed to go to a Methodist Hospital Rehab facility next week...located off Camp Wisdom and Hwy 67. As of Wednesday 4/27, she was moved into ICU to address an ulcer issue.The length of her stay there is unknown at the time of this writing. Under normal circumstances at UTSW she can have visitors, although the visitation policy is different as long as she is in ICU. Macklyn said that she enjoys visitors and also receives calls on her cell phone if anyone wishes to speak to her...817-905-5598. Vicki Britt’s family has set-up a website for Vicki.
